Cottage Pinks, or Clove Pinks have been grown in gardens for centuries. Plants form a low, grassy mound of grey-green foliage, bearing upright stems of fragrant double carnation style flowers, in a mixture of white, pink, rose and salmon. Stems are good for cutting. This strain is a good size for edging, or in the rock garden. Drought tolerant once established. Clip plants lightly after flowering, to maintain a tight, bushy habit. Flowers are attractive to butterflies. Evergreen.
